macOS
How to Fill In and Send a Form on a Website on a Mac
Also available for: Windows 11
What you need: A Mac with a web page that has a form on it open in your browser, and the details the form asks for, such as your name or ZIP code.
- Look at the form and read the label for each box. A label is the short text above or beside a box that says what to type there, such as Full name.
- Click inside the first box where you will type. A thin blinking line (the text cursor) appears in it.
- Type what its label asks for.
- Click inside the next box where you will type, and type what its label asks for. Do the same for each remaining box where you type.
- If a box has a small arrow at its right end, or a pair of small arrows pointing up and down, it opens a list. Click the box, then click your choice in the list that opens. Your choice now shows in the box.
- If the form shows small round buttons or small squares, click the one that matches your answer. A dot or a check mark appears in it.
- Look over your answers. Then click the button at the end of the form, such as Send, Submit or Continue.
- If a message appears next to a box or a choice, often in red, do what the message asks there, then click the button at the end of the form again.
- Look for a message or a page saying your form was sent or received.
Expected result: A message or page says your form was sent or received.
