How to Stop Unwanted Website Notifications in Safari on a Mac

Also available for: Windows 11

What you need: A Mac with macOS Ventura 13 or later, Safari, and the website address shown on the unwanted notification.

Before you begin: Read the website address on the notification without clicking it. You will match that address in Safari's settings.

  1. Click Finder (the blue smiling face) in the Dock, the row of app icons along the edge of the screen.
  2. In the menu bar at the top of the screen, click Go, then Applications.
  3. Click Safari twice quickly to open it.
  4. Click Safari beside the Apple menu at the top of the screen, then click Settings.
  5. Click Websites at the top of the Settings window.
  6. On the left, click Notifications. Scroll down the list if needed.
  7. Find the website's address on the right. Click the menu beside that address, then click Deny.
  8. Check that Deny is shown beside that website, then close the Settings window using the red button in its upper-left corner.

Expected result: Deny appears beside the website's address. That website can no longer send new notifications through Safari.
