How to Check Available Storage on Windows 11

What you need: A Windows 11 computer.

1. Click Start (the Windows logo) on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen.
2. Type File Explorer, then click File Explorer in the search results to open it.
3. Click This PC on the left.
4. Under Devices and drives, find the drive with (C:) in its name.
5. Right-click that drive by clicking it once with the right mouse button, then click Properties.
6. On the General tab, read the amount beside Free space. This is the space still available for files and programs on that drive.
7. Click OK to close the window.

Expected result: You have read how much free space is available on the computer's main drive. Your files are unchanged.
