Windows 11
How to Check How Much Battery Is Left on Windows 11
Also available for: macOS
What you need: A Windows 11 laptop computer.
- Look at the lower-right corner of the screen, on the taskbar, the bar along the bottom of the screen. Find the small group of icons to the left of the date and time. One of them is a small battery.
- Move the pointer onto the battery icon and hold it still for a moment. Do not click. To move the pointer, slide your mouse, or slide one finger on the touchpad below the keyboard.
- Read the small box that appears near the icon. It shows the battery percentage, such as 80%. A higher number means more battery is left.
- In the same box, look for the words plugged in. If you see them, the laptop's charger is connected. If you do not see them, the laptop is running on its battery.
Expected result: You can read the battery percentage and know whether the laptop is plugged in.
